About Me & My Practice
I am a licensed mental health clinician and clinical supervisor practicing in Williston, Vermont. I earned my M.A. in clinical counseling and my B.A. in Psychology and Dance. I am a certified EMDR clinician and have training in mindfulness, mindful self compassion and yogic philosophy. I am a certified yoga instructor and life-long mover, and often integrate somatic exploration and strategies.
The Way I Work
My hope is to explore your story with you to create new meaning out of times of challenge, as well as a deeper connection to your innate goodness and worth. Through genuine connection, we will work together to build safety and trust. I will offer space for vulnerability and exploration, as well as direct feedback as appropriate and lots of opportunity to learn new skills. I tend to have a more casual relational style, balancing curiosity and empathy with humor and accountability. I aim to empower individuals to make honest, thoughtful and compassionate choices as they move through challenging circumstances and work toward greater ease, competency and freedom.
Individual Counseling
I offer genuine support and guidance, a grounded presence and a dash of humor. We will utilize strategies from EMDR, mindfulness, somatic exploration and more to strengthen internal resources, challenge old stories, develop new insights and embody innate worth. My passions lie in working with adults who have experienced or been impacted by single episode, complex and/or generational trauma, as well as helping folks foster a compassionate, wise relationship to self.
Supervision Services
I offer individual and group supervision, as well as supervised billing, for masters level clinicians who are working toward Vermont state licensure. The focus of supervision is to increase clinical and administrative skills, build awareness of self within the context of the counseling relationship and the helping profession, integrate knowledge of legal and ethical considerations, work toward professional development goals, meet Vermont licensure requirements and establish a sound and viable private practice.
My approach to supervision is individualized, person centered, strength based, and developmental, with the goal of nurturing competency and resilience. I utilize scholastic learning techniques, such as case presentations, audio/video recordings, parallel process, direct feedback and assessment, role play, documentation review and professional development plans, as well as skills that are experiential, relational and reflective in nature, and involve the cultivation of deep attunement and intuition.
In addition to the previously described areas of interest and expertise, I have particular strengths in supporting new clinicians who are interested in working with adolescents and their "families", as well as the system of care that supports folks in this developmental stage.
